Glycolic 35% / 50%

Glycolic acid is an α-hydroxy acid derived from sugar cane. Its small molecular size facilitates the faster and deeper penetration through skin surface improving results.

Glycolic peel diminishes cornocyte adhesion at the lower levels of stratum corneum and promotes cellular mitosis, accelerating cellular renovation and the penetration of topical agents. This exfoliating effect removes the uneven layer of dead skin cells resulting in a smoother and uniform skin texture. Age spots are reduced by the elimination of melanized keratinocytes through desquamation.

With antioxidant and regenerating properties, Glycolic acid is very effective in skin rejuvenation, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and expression lines and increasing moisture retention. It directly stimulates fibroblasts activity increasing the production of collagen elastin and glycosaminoglycans, leading to the regeneration of new tissues.

Glycolic acid is especially helpful in the treatment of comedonic acne, seborrheic and actinic keratosis, psoriasis, icthyosis, acne and vulgar warts. Additionally, Glycolic acid is effective in the treatment of deep, medium and superficial wrinkles, solar lentigos, acne scars, pigmentary disorders (epidermal melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentations…), skin flabbiness, and dry skin.
